Eddie Oetman, age 81, went to be with the Lord on June 9, 2021 at Vicinia Gardens. Eddie was born on November 14, 1939 in Martin, Michigan to Richard and Ruth (Edwards) Oetman. Visit with his family and friends on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 at McCowen & Secord Funeral Home; Marshall Gren Chapel – 120 S. Woodhams St. in Plainwell. Eddie is survived by his children: Michael Oetman and Pauline Collier; three grandchildren: Mandie (Dillon) Thomas, Katie (Chris) Lake and Trevor (Heather) Collier; three great grandchildren: Blaine, Braxton, and Kinzlee; his siblings: Cathy and Bill; as well as several nieces and nephews. Eddie is preceded in death by wife of 55 years: Rita; his parents; and siblings Mary Jean, JoAn, and Eileen. Eddie lived for his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were the love of his life. He enjoyed farming and was an active member of the United Methodist Church. He lived to help make others safe by being on two different fire departments totaling 55 years of his life. Memorial contributions can be made to The Medical Team Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association.
