Jerry Veld

Jerry passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 1st in his home with his wife and daughter by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Marge Veld, sisters Darlene Robinson (Frank), Diane Ford (Don) Judi Tuin (Bill) and brother David Veld. Surviving is his wife, of 43 years Nancy Veld two daughters: Michelle (Michael) Soos and Annie Veld. Three sons: Michael Veld, Terry Veld and Tim (Jessica) Veld, along with three grandchildren: Melanae' Soos, Mirranda Soos and Ian Veld, and his sister Lois Thomas (Jim). Jerry served in the U.S. Army shortly after High School then worked for 20 years at the James Rivers paper mill. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and anything outdoors. He was a free spirit who loved to laugh. He will be greatly missed by many.
