Nora Jean Dodsworth

Nora J. Dodsworth (Hillman), age 88, was called home to be with her husband, children, and her Lord and Savoir on Sunday, December 20, 2020. Nora was born in Otsego Township on October 7, 1932, to Theodore Hillman and Bertha McCormick. She was a devoted member of Doster Reformed Church and enjoyed attending services in Orangeville and Gun Lake when health and weather permitted. Nora loved to cook and bake and could be found traveling to festivals in her covered food wagon until the late 1990s. Keeping busy after selling her food wagon, Nora drove a school bus for her beloved “kids,” as she referred to them until she officially retired. Nora was preceded in death by her parents Theodore Hillman and Bertha McCormick; husband, Roger Dodsworth; daughter, Penny Kunard; son, Michael Lindsey; sister, Phyllis Bergh. She is survived by her brother, Theodore (Judy) Hillman Jr.; grandchildren, Kandice (Matt) Wiesen; Michael (Alexandria) Lindsey; Heather Boyer; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Nora’s ashes will be laid to rest with her husband, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
