Tammie Marie (Sikkenga) Schlotterback, passed away peacefully at the home of her parents, Carl and Jeanette Sikkenga of Kalamazoo on Tuesday September 8, 2020. She was born on July 6, 1967 at Little Rock Air Force Base in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Tammie was married to Tim Schlotterback in July of 1987; who preceded her in death in 2006. Tammie graduated from Western Michigan University with a master degree in business education. She taught at Loy Norrix High School in Kalamazoo before moving her family to Utah in 2010. She made her home in Tooele where she taught business communications and computer science at Blue Peak High School. She is survived by her two daughters, Tia (Brad) Covey of Bronson, Mi., Tylyn Schlotterback of Tooele, UT and her son Mathew (Amanda) Schlotterback of Battle Creek, her parents, 4 grandsons, Gabriel Noguez, Jacob Schlotterback, Elliott Covey and Dominic Schlotterback, three siblings, Wendy (Julie Scott) Sikkenga, Mark (Patti) Sikkenga and Scott Sikkenga all of Kalamazoo and many nieces and nephews. According to Tammie’s wishes, a cremation will follow a family viewing being held Wednesday September 9, 2020. There will be a celebration life at a later date.
